Phew, it’s about to get a lot HOTTER
I know how tricky it can be to navigate summer while carrying around a lot of body shame.
And while focusing on loving body affirmations and becoming more confident wearing a bathing suit are AMAZING things to practice, I wanted to share with you a few of my fav ways to boost your confidence that don’t involve wearing a bathing suit/bikini!
Each challenge is designed to be simple, FUN AND boost your confidence!
DAY 1 – Ready. Set. Click.
Today’s challenge is to…..Take a sexy selfie!
You get to decide what a sexy selfie means to you – maybe it’s wearing your new summer dress, or wearing no makeup and messy beach hair or maybe it’s you lounging by the pool.
Why a selfie?
Well because they can boost your confidence.
In an article in Glamour titled, “Are Selfies the Key to Boosting Your Confidence?” research shows that capturing your image on camera does good things for your confidence levels.
The article shares “on-the-regular selfie snappers reporting they feel more attractive and liked than those who don’t selfie at all.”
Go ahead, snap your picture. Feeling inspired to share your selfie? Post it over in the daring diva community group below the challenge post.

Day #2 Prompt – Owning your Story
Today we’re taking inspiration from Brené Brown – specifically what she says about owning our story:
“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”
The Day 2 prompt is to write down a part of your story you want to own.
You can write it in your journal, talk it out using a voice memo app on your phone or share it with a trusted friend or family member who has the capacity to listen and see you.
DAY #3 – Ohhh it’s about to 🔥 up
Today’s challenge is to……..Take yourself on a DATE
Whether you’re single, dating or in a relationship, this is something every woman needs to try!
At first, it might feel weird or make you feel guilty, but I promise you if you keep trying it and let yourself have fun with it, it’ll become a weekly or monthly ritual you start to look forward to.
Here are a few fun summer date ideas to get you started:
🔥 Pack yourself a picnic lunch and go to a park or the closest beach. Fill your basket with some sparkling water, fancy cheeses, a fresh baguette and fruit and maybe some yummy chocolate. Don’t forget to pack a book or bring your journal along.
🔥 Make reservations at your fav restaurant or a fancy one you’ve never been to before. Go through your closet and pick out a dress or outfit that makes you feel SEXY. Enjoy a night out on the town with yourself!
🔥 Take yourself out for coffee and a sweet treat. Before you head home, grab yourself some fresh flowers at the local market and get a mani, pedi or a blow out!
Day #4 – I DARE YOU…
Today’s challenge is to MAKE A LIST
But not just any list, you’re going to make a list of at least 10 things you’ve never done before that you want to try!
Being a beginner and doing something for the first time is such a great way to build our confidence while checking things off our bucket list.
Once you’ve made your list, pick one activity/experience off your list and make a commitment to go and do it. That might mean signing up for a class, putting a date in your calendar, starting a savings account for your adventure.
Thanks for participating + following along, I hope you find these mini-challenges and prompts inspiring AND are feeling an extra buzz of confidence!
Have you always wanted to book a boudoir photoshoot for yourself – but maybe you worry it’s not the right experience for you or for your body type?
Or maybe you feel nervous about being photographed and seeing yourself in this way?
Hey, I’m Argentina Leyva, and I’ve got you.
I know firsthand how vulnerable and nerve-wracking a boudoir photoshoot can be. I’ve had those same worries and fears. I too used to think that boudoir was only for young or thin women.
And then I had my own boudoir photoshoot and because of it, I was able to look at my photographs and tell myself “I am beautiful” and really believe it for the first time in years.
Because I know how vulnerable and important this experience is for mature women, I am here to walk you through each step. Click here to get a no-commitment information package and learn more about my confidence-boosting photoshoots in Austin + Chicago.
I have over 10 years of experience photographing 3,000+ women and I’d be honoured to collaborate with you to make your boudoir photoshoot vision come true!
